Mr. Margolin is starting to look well positioned for one of the top two spots in CAs Top Two Primary for the 33rd district, where he will go up against six other contenders all wishing to unseat a 38 year career congressman.
Supporters are popping up from around the community and the country, to voice their excitement. Even with a staunch commitment to limit campaign contributions to small personal donations, and with most coming in at around $ 10, the dozens of little donations are starting to add up and the response to the idea of zero big donors is catching on, says the campaign.
In addition to all of the small cash donations, the time and creativity people are putting forth is really inspiring, says campaign treasurer and co-manager, Roseann Boffa. Many are showing their support through social media and platforms. Not only quickly putting Mr. Margolin ahead of the other challengers in Facebook Likes for his campaign page, but with unexpected expressions, in unexpected places. People are sharing their ideas and feelings about Mr. Margolin all around the web, as well as to the campaign directly.
With offerings of videos, posters, flyers and songs, the campaign is excited about using supporter generated campaign materials to get out its progressive message. The first video produced by a supporter is now posted on the campaigns homepage @ http://www.MargolinForCongress.com. All are encouraged to add to the campaign by submitting their artistic and thoughtful campaign pieces directly to the official campaign website.
“People understand that this campaign is about much more than fixing bad laws, this campaign is about a lot of smart and overdue solutions for the working people in this country, says Mr. Margolin. This campaign is about education, social and economic justice for all, including Mother Nature.
In a district which usually tends to vote more than 80% for the Democrats, what is left seems a small piece of pie for the four candidates running under banners other than Democrat.1 But for all of the challengers running, who claim they really just want to see a change from the old guard, Mr. Margolins exciting grassroots campaign may be just what the ballot needed.
